Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised. Prov. 31:30

We're all wet

I awoke this morning and looked out the window and "oh my!" came out of my mouth. I was expecting something but not all that! When Drew later looked out the window, he said, "It's snow!" Well, it isn't snow, it is a lake in the fields and on the road. We had lots of rain last night. Our basement is flooded up to Richard's knees. But that is no concern compared to the lost work and lost seed in the field and the days before we can get back in there and replant. A farmer is forced to have patience! We'll just clean up after it all is passed, and go on. I'm just so thankful, no water in the house, (living area). Life could be worse. But for now, it is a little wet in Carroll County Indiana!

Oh no! What a shame. Can you post a photo with this, I want to see what it all looks like. I hope it stays dry this week.... !

I am so sorry this happened. Your attitude is great. Being a farmer and a farmer's wife certainly forces one to be patient! I'm glad the water is not high enough to ruin all your beautiful furnishings! Do you have to drive through water no matter which road you take?
