In Christ I am Accepted, Secure, Significant!

When I was spiritually born I became several things. I did not earn these, I did not purchase these. But I am guaranteed these by the Word of God. I hope this blesses you who are also born of His spirit. For you, too, ARE these things.

I am the salt of the earth. (Matt 5:13) Significant!Because NOW Christ is in Me and I am In HIM.... I add flavor to this world that I could never have added before.

I am the light of the world. (Matt 5:14) Significant!Because of Christ, I am able to shed light, His light, into situations. There need not remain darkness where I walk, for I bring His light into the darkness.

I am a Child of God. (John 1:12) Accepted.
You want to hear about my Daddy? I can tell you.

I am Christ's friend. (John 15:15) Accepted!You want to know my friend? I can tell you about him!

I am a temple - a holy dwelling of the most high God. (I Cor 3: 16)
Temples are special. There is a special presence in a temple and I am His temple... something totally special--in me. Significant and Secure and Accepted!

I am united to the Lord and am one spirit with Him. (I Cor. 6:17)
We are that close! Secure!

I am a new creation. (I Cor 5:17)
Major changes have taken place in me! I am no longer who I was but I am something totally new. I respond to things differently than I did before Christ was in me. My pleasures and joys are now in different things...things of the Spirit....things of God.

I am a saint. (I Cor. 1:2)
Why would he call us saints when we are not perfect? Still, he calls us saints because we are now titled with a holy calling. And whether we perform perfectly or not, we are still saints.

I am an expression of the life of Christ because He is my life. (Col 3:4)Notice this says "because He is my Life." When we make him our life, live everymoment for him, we will be an expression of Him. He will be revealed in us. Not bad.

I am a holy partaker of a heavenly calling. (Heb 3:1)
I wouldn't want any other calling but a heavenly one! Would you?

I am one of God's living stones, being built up in Christ as a spiritual house. (I Pet 2:5) Think about it... this is exciting.... a LIVING stone, being built up-- into something spiritual. I was once not living, but now I am -- Because I am a living stone and a part of what God is making, building.

I am an alien and stranger to this world in which I temporarily live. (I Pet 2:11)If we don't feel as aliens here maybe we should find out why we don't.

I am born of God, and the evil one -- the devil -- cannot touch me! (I John 5:18) Praise God... but we need to remind him - the devil- of this often times.

I am an enemy of the devil. (I Pet 5:8)
If we ignore this truth and avoid the fight we will be defeated and not partake of our full inheritance. I chose to NOT put my head in the sand by being blind to this truth.

I am NOT the great "I am" (Ex. 3:14; John 8:24, 28,58) but by the grace of God, I am what I am. (I Cor 15:10) And I like what I am!

This is who I am!
