Quilting with God

A friend of mine, some time back, mentioned to me that it is a good time to pray when you are doing hand sewing. Well today, I found that true. I was alone in the house and quilting, and my thoughts were going places....and God would just throw in his two cents. (well, his thoughts are priceless.) I love when he does that. Makes me think of the ladies of old, before tv and other entertaining devices, who would hand sew when work was done...never being idle. You know the saying, something to do with God and Gardens?? .... well God quilts with me, or at least, he chats with me while I quilt.

I agree Mom. When I was working on that quilt it was the best time to pray and hear from God.

Can't wait to see your quilt. What pattern are you using?

Love you.

you're funny, Carrie. BUT there are lots of other things than quilting... like cross-stitching. You'ld like that! Good to have something to do in the winter.

I would have loved to sit in on one of those quilting bees of old. The few times that I've done some cross-stitching it has been a wonderful time to pray.
