Yes! Church is exciting!

We had a wonderful church service last sunday. YES! I want to shout it! Church can be exciting! And when it is, I wouldn't want to be anywhere else. Sunday morning, God's house, the best place to be. I know people experience God in different ways, but the corporate blessing of his presence is awesome as well. For one, it is so stirring to see him touch people. And it is so exciting to feel the momentum increase. The last two Sundays, there has been a strong sense of God's presence during the preaching. Now, we often feel it during worship, but I've never felt it during preaching like I did two Sundays ago. God is up to something! And then this past Sunday, the message was so powerful, and when the people responded by going to the altar, I just knew it was sincere. (there has been little response to the altar lately, though the messages have been powerful).

I am thankful, so thankful, that our church offers the altar each Sunday. There is a scripture that says (Ex. 20) Wherever I cause my name to be honored, I will come to you and bless you. I strongly believe that a church altar has a special presence, his presence... when he is honored there. You can stay in your seat and yes God will touch you, but the altar is different. Maybe it is because you must humble yourself to even walk up there. But this I know, He meets your needs, speaks to your heart and does many other things, at the altar.
