It was a pajama Christmas! Red silks for my sisters and myself; Ice-blue silks for my daughters. We were trimmed in an aura of luxury and shine. It was frivilous and fun. Hooray for frivilous and fun. We celebrated being feminine and beautiful. Some celebrated being young and feminine and beautiful! But we celebrated the moment and got pictures to boot thanks to our great husbands!
It was also a good Christmas and not just because of the pajamas. Today we are safe and secure. We all have jobs. We all are in our homes, mortgages being met. Today we are healthy. And today we are in His hands as we always will be.
2009 is soon to be here. We ask, what is in store for us in the new year? Will there be new jobs, new locations? Will we have to toughen up and tighten up? Will we have to lean on one another? Will we see the Lord move in our behalf in a way that will cause us to love him outwardly more? Will we become more passionate in our faith?
What an advantage we believers have. We have the loving Father to cry out to. We have a heavenly protector who has promised to take care of us and meet our needs. If the hard times of 2009 make us draw closer to Him, it will be a very good year. What more could we want? It would be better than red pajamas! (or blue)
So, I wish a Happy New Year 2009 to you all! Rejoice in what the Lord will do in 2009, for He is always faithful and His Word is always True. And above all, He is.... He IS!
